Sunday afternoon I was watching MTV Brazil, especifically Acesso MTV, with the beautiful VJs Marimoon and Titi, and I just heard this song. The girls said the music video was released April 15, a few days ago indeed. It reached on Youtube more than 1,1 million views hitherto (I have just learned this word :P).
Bruno Mars, whoise real name is Peter Gene Hernandez born in Hawaii and, according to Wikipedia, he "was raised by a family of musicians", "moved to Los Angeles", "joining (...) the Smeezingtons". Later "he became recognized as a solo artist" and "in October 2010, he released his debut album, Doo-Wops and Hooligans."
Still quoting Wikipedia, "'The Lazy Song' was written by Mars, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine and K'naan, while produced by The Smeezingtons. The song has roots reggae and jawaiian influences, with elements of pop and R&B.[3] The song has a moderate reggae beat."
